Functional AIT Engineer (25086)

Key Tasks and Responsibilities              

As part of the AIT Department, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Execute the thermal vacuum (TVAC) test campaign in a shift;
• Execute the calibration and characterization (C&C) campaign in the shift. Maintain and improve test procedures, execute them, and assess the test results in a critical way;
• Analyse and correlate events to their possible root causes, as well as finding pragmatic solutions to cope with time pressure without arming the flight hardware;
• Exchange with the project teams in order to provide test strategies that suit the best in terms of quality, time and costs;
• Participate to non-conformances and support investigations, taking into account the company quality standards;
• Willingness to work in shifts over several months: 3 days early (07:00–15:00 Uhr) 3 days late (15:00–23:00 Uhr) 3 days night (23:00–07:00 Uhr) 3 -4 days free;

Skills & Experience

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace, or Embedded Systems;
• Professional experience in aerospace engineering of at least 2 years;
• Experience working with space standards (ECSS) would be a plus;
• Experience in testing would be a plus;
• MS-Office special knowledge;
• Fluency in English is mandatory; German would be a plus;
• Experience working with a central checkout system, including SCOS2k databases and Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems (CCSDS)/Packet Utilization Standard, would be a plus;
• Telecommands and telemetry management would be a plus;
