Arbeitsbeschreibung - Functional Group Leader (gn) Analytical Services

Lead and manage the Analytical Services group, covering all aspects of mass spectrometry, HPLC-based as well as light scattering methods
Responsible for the delivery of group-specific services (in line with regulatory guidelines) in terms of quality, time and budget
Continuous improvement of the technological platform, resource utilization and process efficiency
Innovation management and portfolio development in alignment with business needs and market trends
Provision of scientific and technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams to achieve corporate goals for challenging research projects within biologics early drug development
Method development and optimization according to ICH guidelines
Preparation of relevant documents (i.e. project plans, SOPs, scientific presentations, technical reports), their review and training
Presentation of the scientific results as well as convincing and confident communication of the content to colleagues, customers and business partners

PhD in the field of (bio-)analytical chemistry, biochemistry or related with an excellent proven track record.
A minimum of 5 years working experience in the pharmaceutical industry with regard to analytical method development according to current guidelines
Proven experience in managing a team of scientists/analysts in a dynamic environment
Excellent acquaintance of biophysical and biochemical characterization of biotherapeutics/proteins (focus: HPLC-based and light scattering methods)
In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., ICH, FDA, EMA) for biopharmaceutical products
Solid background in the field of LC-MS analytics
Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement within the team
Independent, service-oriented way of working, with an outstanding team spirit and excellent organization and communication skills
