Compensation: €45,000 – €65,000 gross p.a.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant – Treasury & Payment Operations to join a stable, expanding retail organization with over 145 locations. This key position offers full operational responsibility over large-scale payment transactions and liquidity management within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will work closely with commercial leadership, enjoying short decision-making paths and a pragmatic, hands-on organizational culture.

In this role, you will play a central part in securing the company's financial processes and shaping ongoing accounting workflows. Following a structured onboarding period, the position transitions to a flexible modern setup featuring one day of remote work per week, alongside competitive compensation and long-term career stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Payment Execution: Direct and oversee daily high-volume payment processing across multiple financial accounts.
• Accounts Management: Perform continuous monitoring and reconciliation of AP and AR ledger balances.
• Lease Verification: Oversee and reconcile monthly rental obligations across all retail branches.
• Liquidity Planning: Draft and maintain rolling short- and medium-term cash flow projections.
• Treasury & Cash Management: Manage bank accounts, credit facilities, and multi-bank financial structures.
• Variance Resolution: Analyze, investigate, and rectify accounting, booking, and payment discrepancies.
• Cross-Departmental Support: Act as the main subject matter expert for internal teams regarding payment workflows.

Candidate Profile

Essential Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in financial accounting, AP/AR, treasury, or payment management.
• Strong knowledge of accounting processes, account reconciliations, cash management, and liquidity planning.
• Proficiency with standard accounting tools (DATEV, Addison, or equivalent systems) and payment execution software (e.g., windata).
• High level of professional discretion and fluent German language skills (C1+).
• Vocational qualification: Completed commercial training (e.g., Industrial Management Assistant, Banking Specialist, Tax Assistant, or equivalent; formal degree optional).
