We are an established Tier-1 automotive manufacturer operating across international facilities in Germany, Eastern Europe, and North America. Supported by an international workforce of roughly 900 employees, we engineer and produce high-performance vehicle interior and exterior systems through continuous technical innovation and strong operational focus.

We are seeking a German-speaking Senior Accountant (m/f/d) to serve as a key financial lead. In this role, you will oversee plant accounting under local standards (HGB), support international reporting (IFRS), guide two junior accounting specialists, and contribute to an active ERP system implementation.

Primary Responsibilities

• Local Closings & General Ledger: Oversee day-to-day general accounting activities and drive monthly, quarterly, and annual closing operations in compliance with German GAAP (HGB).
• Group Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate financial packages under IFRS to support global corporate reporting.
• Team Guidance & Leadership: Serve as a technical supervisor and mentor for two operational accountants handling Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Specialized Accounting Operations: Direct intercompany account reconciliations, manage asset accounting (Anlagenbuchhaltung), enforce group policies, and continually streamline financial workflows.
• Digital Transformation: Actively participate as a key accounting stakeholder in the deployment and refinement of the Infor LN ERP platform.
• Audit Management: Function as a main point of contact during internal and external financial audits.

Candidate Qualifications

Essential Criteria:

• Language Requirements: High proficiency in German (C1) for local accounting, operational oversight, and statutory compliance, alongside English (C1) for cross-border communications.
• Professional Background: Significant hands-on experience in corporate accounting, preferably gained within an industrial production or automotive supply environment.
• Financial Expertise: Comprehensive command of local closing procedures (HGB) coupled with practical exposure to IFRS reporting within consolidated group environments.
• Education & Credentials: University degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting OR a vocational commercial training background supplemented by a recognized Bilanzbuchhalter certification.
• Work Style: Solution-oriented approach, structured execution, strong interpersonal skills, and a pragmatic hands-on attitude.

Preferred Skills & Attributes:

• Familiarity with the automotive sector.
• Previous experience using or implementing Infor LN (or enthusiasm to learn modern enterprise tools).
• Team-oriented mindset with an interest in mentoring others, combined with flexibility for business travel as required by key projects.
