Description

We are looking for a German-speaking Community Manager to join our growing team in Berlin. 

The 1000heads Community team is a collective of social media obsessives, driven by the desire to deliver standout editorial and meaningful conversations for some of the world’s most exciting brands. You will work closely with specialists across Insights, Strategy, Creative and Client Services to deliver social-first work that builds engaged, active communities. 

From cultivating conversation through best-in-class moderation to crafting and activating editorial content, everything we do is rooted in the belief that a strong community can become an unstoppable force for a brand. 

You’re a social platform native, a sharp copywriter, and someone who thrives on the fast-paced nature of real-time engagement. If you’re passionate about shaping brand voice, building communities and driving engagement, this role is for you. 

 

Role

    • Manage day-to-day community activity across social platforms, including moderation, publishing and engagement  
    • Create and adapt compelling, platform-native copy in both German and English  
    • Stimulate and sustain conversations with audiences, building meaningful relationships with communities  
    • Execute editorial calendars and support campaign rollouts across multiple channels  
    • Work closely with creative and strategy teams to ideate and brief engaging content  
    • Monitor conversations, identify trends and escalate issues where required  
    • Maintain high standards of community engagement, including brand tone of voice and ethical considerations  
    • Support real-time and reactive social moments, including live event coverage where relevant  
    • Build strong client relationships and contribute to ongoing strategic thinking  
    • Track performance, contribute to reporting and provide actionable insights  
    • Stay ahead of platform updates, cultural trends and emerging opportunities  


Requirements
    • 5+ years experience in a Community Manager / Social Media role (agency experience preferred)  
    • Fluent German and English (written and spoken)  
    • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to flex tone across platforms  
    • Deep understanding of social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, etc.) and their nuances  
    • Experience with moderation, including escalation processes and customer-facing interactions  
    • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously  
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative agency environment  
    • Experience with social publishing and listening tools (e.g. Sprinklr, Khoros, Hootsuite) a plus  
    • Culturally aware, proactive and always curious about trends and online behaviour
