Head of Artist Partnerships (f/m/x)

Arbeitsbeschreibung - Head of Artist Partnerships (f/m/x)

We're looking for a Head of Artist Partnerships to help us grow Otherworldly into a world-leading music booking company.

Who we are 👪

We believe live music is one of the best things humans do, and that far more artists deserve to make a living from it than currently can. That's the opportunity we're building for.

The industry still runs on cold emails and who-knows-who, and it's about to be rebuilt. AI now lets small teams achieve incredible things, and we intend to be the team that rebuilds this one.

Otherworldly is an AI-native talent management and booking company. We run an actual roster, meaning real tours, real riders, real settlements, and we're turning everything we've learned into agentic infrastructure. That means a database of 250,000+ bookers worldwide and algorithmic pitching systems that get the right artist in front of the right promoter at scale.

It's working. We closed our seed round with roster and revenue traction already built. Between us, we've managed No.1 artists and Grammy nominees, led strategy for household-name brands, and founded YC-backed companies.

Most music-tech is built by people who've never booked a show. We book shows every week.

Tasks

This is our first dedicated growth hire, and a rare kind of role. You’ll own artist acquisition end-to-end and write the commercial playbook for a category that doesn’t exist yet - next-generation talent management.

You’ll own a number. By the end of next year, the goal is 120+ artist clients. How we get there - which artists, through which doors, with what pitch - is yours to figure out, prove, and turn into a repeatable machine. When it works, you’ll likely hire the next person to run it with you.

You’ll report directly to Alex (CEO) and work side-by-side with the full team in our Berlin office.

Two ways in ✌️

The people we're looking for usually arrive from one of two directions:

🪽From tech, chasing the mission. You've built and scaled at a serious tech company (Series A and beyond) and you're good at it. But you've always wanted your work to serve something you actually love. This is the chance to apply everything you've learnt, in a team that shares your obsession, for clients you believe in.

📈 From music, chasing the ambition. You know this industry from the inside, and you feel boxed in by how slowly it moves. If you're the most ambitious person at your music company and you're ready to help build a world-leading talent company, this is your step up.

What you’ll do

  • Define and refine our ideal client profile - established, professional musicians. We’re deliberately selective, and you’ll sharpen that selectivity.
  • Build and run the full outbound pipeline from scratch: research, outreach, qualification, pitch, close
  • Develop routes to artists through their ecosystem - managers, labels, lawyers, booking agents, publishers
  • Turn what works into a documented, repeatable acquisition playbook for this specific ICP
  • Represent Otherworldly at industry events and in the communities where our artists live... much of our deal flow will start with a conversation you begin
  • Work with the team to find friction in the onboarding handover and eliminate it

Requirements

You’ll thrive here if

🌍 You live in both worlds. You have 3–7 years in business development, partnerships, or sales, ideally at a tech company serving musicians or creators, and you know how to hold a real conversation with an established artist, their manager, their label, or their lawyer

🎵 You’re passionate about music. It’s something you live - the shows, the scenes, the records. Our artists can tell the difference in one conversation, and so can we

🛠️ You’ve built pipeline from nothing. You don’t need a handed-over playbook to get started. You write the playbook

📝 You’re systematic about what works. You document, test hypotheses, and improve deliberately - not just charm your way through.

💬 You say the thing plainly. Direct, clear, and comfortable in a small team moving fast

🤝 Networking is your natural state. Energised by events, socialising, working a room. Our deals are relationship-driven; this is the job, not a perk. You genuinely love meeting people and leave every room with three new relationships worth following up.

Bonus if you have ✅

  • An existing network among mid-level to established independent artists and their teams
  • Experience in label services, sync licensing, or live booking
  • Familiarity with AI/automation tools in a commercial context

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary + equity
  • Real ownership: you own the number, the playbook, and the function
  • The chance to define a new category from the inside, before anyone else
  • A front-row seat to an industry being rebuilt, working from Berlin, one of the world's great music cities
  • Access to one of the most exciting sectors on earth, working with musicians, venues, brands, and talent agents.
  • Company laptop
  • Health insurance
  • Sports club memberships
  • 5 days/week in our Berlin office, working side-by-side with the whole team
  • Blue Card EU Visa sponsorship if required
