Build and manage strategic partnerships, channels, and ecosystem relationships relevant to the German consumer financial services landscape. Lead negotiations with external partners and coordinate with cross-functional colleagues to deliver solutions for large, complex, and high-impact engagements. Align product and business levers (pricing, FX, incentive structures, value propositions) to maximize revenue and accelerate market-share expansion. Product Strategy & Execution Represent the German consumer at all stages of product development, ensuring customer insights shape prioritization, design, and execution. Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and architecture teams to influence the architectural runway and guide optimal technical design choices. Drive the articulation and execution of a cohesive consumer strategy tailored to German market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and competitive pressures. Market & Consumer Insight Conduct deep analysis of user behavior, market trends, competitive signals, and partner insights to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic initiatives. Operate as the central coordinator for all consumer product activity in Germany — from insights and product performance to marketing and go-to-market execution. Commercial Strategy Define positioning, pricing, promotional strategy, and distribution approaches tailored to German consumer expectations and regulatory standards. Ensure adherence to German consumer-protection regulations, including vulnerable customer considerations, customer-outcome monitoring, and responsible product design. Commercial Operations Oversee day-to-day commercial operations and ensure efficient processes to support growth and performance. Own the full P&L for consumer and product segments in Germany. Lead the annual operating plan, forecasts, and financial planning cycles. Collaborate across Product, Engineering, Operations, Partnerships, Risk, Legal, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Business Development to deliver aligned outcomes in a complex matrix environment. Build strong alignment at the executive level, advocating for Germany's needs and opportunities to influence the global product roadmap. Represent the German consumer business in global executive forums, sharing insights and strategic recommendations. Performance Monitoring & Reporting Provide regular updates to senior management on key performance metrics, financial performance, product milestones, and consumer outcomes. Analyze sales data, product performance, and market developments to drive strategic decisions and adjust priorities. Implement strong reporting systems to track commercial success and customer-outcome quality. Minimum 18 years of relevant experience with deep expertise in consumer financial services and/or digital consumer products. Proven track record of building, launching, and scaling high-impact consumer products in a global, matrixed organization — ideally within a regulated financial services context. Experience influencing and aligning senior stakeholders and external partners to drive action, results, and change. Demonstrated success in driving commercial growth and scaling product segments across multiple functions. Multi-disciplinary leadership capability with demonstrated success in building, developing, and advancing high-performing teams. Exceptional communication and presentation skills; able to translate complex concepts into compelling, fact-based narratives. Hands-on, “roll-up-your-sleeves” leadership style; thrives as a driver and change agent. Bachelor's degree required; MBA or technical degree preferred. Reporting Structure This role reports directly to the SVP & GM, Consumer, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the VP & GM, Europe.
