As Head of Product, you own Kertos's product vision and roadmap, and you're joining at a genuinely pivotal moment. The category is being redrawn: compliance is shifting from software as a service to service as software, where AI and automation do the work wherever they can and our compliance experts focus on the judgment calls that still need a human. Few companies get to shape a product at the point where that shift is actually happening. You will.
That means the roadmap in front of you is wide open. There are more good directions to take the product than we can pursue at once, across the segments we serve today and the ones we're growing into, and a real part of the job is choosing where to place the bets. You'll work closely with our compliance experts to understand exactly what clients need, and decide with your team and engineering where the line between automation and human judgment sits today, with the mandate to push it forward quarter after quarter as AI takes on more of the work.
This role sits at the center of the product organization and value creation. You set the roadmap across squads, and you lead and grow the product team, partnering closely with our compliance experts and building around their knowledge, their needs, and their day-to-day work. You're accountable for the roadmap, for how the product team operates, and for outcomes clients can feel directly: time saved, risk reduced, audits passed.
Your responsibilities- Set the product vision, defining where Kertos product goes next, the shift from compliance software clients operate themselves to a service that delivers compliance outcomes for them, and turn that vision into a roadmap built around client value, not just feature velocity.
- Partner closely with our compliance experts to learn what actually creates value for them and our customers, and work with our Development Team to turn that expertise into a product that makes their work faster and clients' outcomes better.
- Continue to develop and mentor the product team as the team scales, set the standards for how they run discovery and shipping, and make sure they grow into stronger PMs under you.
- Lead discovery working closely with compliance experts, design and engineering to understand problems deeply, validate ideas with real clients before building, and ship improvements that move a client's compliance outcome.
- Understand needs of customers, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing so product bets translate into revenue, retention, and measurable value for clients, especially as features move from "helps you do compliance" to "does the compliance work for you."
- Own the roadmap, setting priorities independently, and aligning them with technical leads, our customer advisory board, key clients, and the leadership team.
- Use data to define what success looks like for each initiative in terms clients would recognize, such as “time saved”, “risk mitigated”, “time to audit readiness”, and work with Marketing and Customer Success to turn usage data into the next round of decisions.
