Head of Strategic Procurement - Raw materials (Food & Beverages) (m/w/d)

Operational

• Timely and success-oriented organization of the supplier pool with expertise and assertiveness
• Coordination of activities with suppliers, if necessary preparation of supplier change
• Bottleneck management and control in the event of delivery problems
• Further development of existing procurement tools
• Optimization of existing packaging materials
• Identification, qualification and auditing of new suppliers, including on-site
• Contract negotiations with suppliers and for investment projects
• Monitoring inventory levels and determining purchasing requirements
• Ensuring availability and readiness to deliver as required in coordination with our SCM department
• Sales, product, market and competition analyses
• Administration, evaluation, analysis and documentation of transactions, orders, deliveries and payments
• Travel

Strategic

• Creation, development and implementation of purchasing and product group strategies
• Cross-departmental involvement in new projects
• Continuous analysis and optimization of processes to save resources
• Risk analysis and minimization of the existing product group portfolio in collaboration with our risk manager
• Representation of the company at trade fairs/events
• Development and management and overall responsibility of the purchasing team

Education

• Completed commercial training or a successfully completed business degree.

Experience

• Experience in purchasing and ideally industry knowledge in the field of confectionery, category protein and/or raw material production.
• Experience in working with ERP systems, ideally SAP.
• Technical and disciplinary leadership experience.

Professional Skills

• Business fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Conceptual-strategic thinking and forward-looking action with a high focus on results
• Negotiating skills, mastery of communication and presentation techniques
