High-Power-Electronics - Hardware Developer

o Designing next generation Hardware (Concept, Schematic, Layout)
o Developing and building automated test-equipment
o Closely working together with software-department to optimize workflow
o Optimization of BOM and handle assembly workflow with external partners

• Educational Background: A degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on high-power electronics.
• Expertise in Power Electronics: Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and testing high-current circuits capable of switching up to 6kA.
• Fast Switching Proficiency: Proven ability to work with fast switching timescales, particularly in the nanosecond range.
• Advanced PCB Design: Proficient in the latest PCB design techniques, ensuring optimal performance and safety under extreme conditions.
• Innovation-Driven: A track record of using cutting-edge technologies and methods to push the boundaries of what's possible in hardware development.
• Hands-On Experience: Practical experience in troubleshooting and debugging hardware issues in real-time, ensuring smooth and efficient functionality.
• Collaborative Spirit: The ability to work cohesively with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, engineers, and scientists.
• Continuous Learning: A commitment to staying updated with the latest advancements in the field of power electronics and magnetostimulation.

o ​>5 years of experience in the field of electronics development (KiCad, Altium, Eagle)
o Experience when to use μController and when FPGA
o Basic understanding of battery cells
o Enthusiast in Electronics and you do not fear to work with currents above 100A
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German or English
o Strong team player, high communication skills, strong conceptual skills and analytical mindset
o Optional: know how to use mechanical engineering software (Fusion360, SolidWorks, …)
o Optional: Experience in the field of Semiconductors-Development is a plus!
