suena energy is a green tech startup specializing in algorithmic energy trading for energy storage systems and renewable energies.
Our vision: a world where clean energy is used reliably, economically, and intelligently. With our AI-based optimization and trading software, we maximize the revenues of operators of large-scale energy storage and renewable assets on short-term electricity and balancing markets – while simultaneously minimizing their risks.

We’re a team of 43 people, combining a warm, supportive team culture with true startup drive. Following our successful Series A, we’re expanding our team – and looking for an experienced HR leader to establish and scale our People & Culture function for the next growth phase. You’ll be the direct lead for Irina (People Development) and our future Talent Acquisition Manager, working closely with our C-level and leadership team..

Your mission


  • You develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, processes, and documentation—ensuring clarity, consistency and compliance across all locations.
  • You shape and foster a strong, inclusive company culture - initiating and overseeing cultural programs and rituals together with People Development and the leadership team.
  • You advise and support leaders and employees on all people-related matters, including employee relations, performance management, career development and organizational change - always in line with labor law and culture.
  • You align talent acquisition, onboarding, and succession planning with company goals in close collaboration with the Talent Acquisition Manager to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
  • You manage payroll, benefits, and reward programs, balancing compliance, competitiveness, and employee well-being.
  • You monitor and analyze key HR metrics (e.g., turnover, engagement, time-to-hire) to identify trends, ensure compliance, and drive data-based improvements across all people processes.




Your profile


  • Demonstrated ownership in labor law, HR policies, and compliance – independently driving and implementing initiatives and frameworks for fast-growing, international organizations (ideally in Germany and other European markets)
  • Passion for shaping and nurturing a positive, inclusive company culture – skilled at collaborating with People Development and leadership to design and implement impactful cultural initiatives
  • Genuine team player and people person – approachable, empathetic, and skilled at building trustful relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Hands-on expertise in payroll, benefits, contract management, and the implementation of compliant people processes
  • Analytical, structured, and detail-oriented approach – comfortable working with HR metrics and driving data-based improvements
