Hybrid Infrastructure Administrator (m/f/d)

Mission Brief 

We are seeking a versatile Hybrid Infrastructure Engineer to bridge the gap between our on-premise virtualization and multi-cloud footprint. This is a "best of both worlds" role: you will manage our private cloud clusters (VMware/Proxmox) while orchestrating production workloads across Azure, AWS, and IONOS Cloud. The ideal candidate is a Debian Linux expert who views manual configuration as a failure and uses Ansible and Terraform to automate everything from the OS kernel to global network routing.

Your Role in Our Space Mission: 

• Multi-Cloud Administration: Design and maintain scalable infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and IONOS Cloud.


• Virtualization Management: Oversee our on-premise footprint using VMware vSphere and Proxmox VE.


• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain Terraform modules for provisioning and Ansible playbooks for configuration.


• System Mastery: Provide expert-level support for Debian Linux environments (security patching, performance tuning, and troubleshooting).


• Network Troubleshooting: Resolve complex connectivity issues involving Site-to-Site VPNs, Cloud VPCs, and local VLANs.


• Disaster Recovery: Ensure data integrity and high availability across all platforms through automated backup strategies.

Qualification Checklist 

• 3–5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator, Linux Administrator, or Cloud Administrator


• Strong hands-on experience with Linux-based systems (administration, troubleshooting, automation)


• Cloud platform experience (Azure and/or AWS preferred)


• Relevant industry certifications, such as: (Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104 or equivalent), AWS Certified SysOps Administrator)


• Operating Systems: Advanced proficiency in Debian, Redhat  Linux.


• Cloud Providers: Proven experience with Azure and AWS. (Familiarity with IONOS Cloud is a major plus).


• Automation: Professional experience with Ansible and Terraform in a production environment.


• Virtualization: Hands-on expertise with VMware (ESXi/vCenter) and Proxmox (KVM/LXC).


• Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, Firewall rules, and Load Balancing.

Bonus Skills

• Relevant industry certifications, such as: (Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104 or equivalent), AWS Certified SysOps Administrator)


• Scripting: Proficiency in Bash or Python.
