We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR generalist to fill the position of International People Partner to manage day-to-day HR operations across our European offices, specifically in Germany, Austria, and France. We hope to expand support to our China operation over time. The International People Partner will be responsible for serving as the business partner for the Europe leadership team, executing on talent processes, benefits administration, onboarding, terminations, payroll documentation, talent acquisition, and ensuring compliance with local employment laws.
This role will serve as a critical link between our European employees and the People and Legal team in the United States, ensuring alignment with company policies and practices. The International People Partner will also work with the Legal team to ensure regulatory compliance at the local level, including in matters of privacy, and provide assistance with entity governance and maintenance and contracting matters.

Pampered Chef follows a hybrid schedule. The expectation is that employees be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week.
What You'll Do
People Operations:
- Serve as a talent and culture champion, in partnership with the General Manager and other senior leadership, to attract, develop, engage, and retain the best workforce in our European offices.
- Oversee daily People/HR activities in Europe, including Germany, Austria, and France, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Implement and manage HR policies and procedures in alignment with local regulations and company guidelines, including identifying and escalating gaps and conflicts to the People and Legal team in the United States for reconciliation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries.
Compliance and Legal:
- Stay up to date with EU and local labor and employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices, as well as other laws, regulations, and best practices relevant to the company’s operations in Europe. These laws, regulations, and best practices include privacy (including with respect to the processing of employee and applicant personal data) and direct selling and multi-level marketing practices.
- With oversight from the US-based Legal team, ensure company policies comply with German, Austrian, and French laws by establishing and maintaining a strong partnership with the appropriate external legal counsel.
- With oversight from the People and Legal team in the United States, liaise with local company personnel to ensure operations and practices comply with relevant policies and regulations and assist in audits and compliance reviews as required.
Talent Acquisition:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination, in coordination with our corporate Recruiting Manager.
- Add open roles into the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Greenhouse, and track progress in the hiring process.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Conduct initial candidate interviews and assessments.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
Benefits Administration:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
- Provide guidance to employees on benefits options and enrollment processes.
- Partner with our Benefits Manager to optimize benefit offerings and cost position for benefits.
Onboarding and Offboarding:
- Coordinate and conduct new employee orientation and onboarding processes to ensure a positive integration experience.
- Manage employee terminations, including exit interviews and offboarding procedures.
Payroll and Documentation:
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll in collaboration with external payroll providers as well as our corporate Sr. Global Payroll Specialist.
- Maintain and update applicant and employee records, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other data protection regulations.
Culture & Employee Relations:
- Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns and resolving conflicts.
- Provide support and guidance to managers on HR-related issues and performance management.
- Guide engagement survey completion and action planning to improve manager effectiveness and engagement scores.
Communication and Coordination:
- Regularly communicate with the HR team in the United States to ensure alignment on HR initiatives and practices.
- Prepare and present reports on HR metrics and activities to HR Leadership.
- Act as a liaison between the US-based Legal team and European operations, facilitating effective communication and collaboration on the support for legal matters, including coordinating the contract review and negotiation process and entity management.
- Timely briefing the US-based legal team on relevant operation initiatives and relevant legal and regulatory developments to assist in identifying potential legal risks and recommendations to mitigate them.
- Fluency in English and German is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an HR Generalist role, preferably within a multinational company.
- In-depth knowledge of German, Austrian, and French labor laws and regulations.
- Understanding of European data privacy laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR). Experience in a legal or compliance role is preferred.
- Experience with benefits administration, payroll processing, HR compliance, and talent acquisition.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), preferably Greenhouse.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
What We're Offering
The anticipated salary range for this position is €70,000-80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. This role is eligible for a performance-based bonus based on individual and company performance.
