Key Responsibilities:
Internal IT Systems
Support the lifecycle of internal IT systems including workstations, peripherals, and shared services.
Assist with directory services (LDAP) and user account management.
Help manage software installations, asset tracking, and IT inventory across both offices.
Provide first-line support to employees, resolving hardware and software issues onsite in Berlin and remotely for Amsterdam.
Datacenter Operations
Assist with monitoring and maintaining datacenter infrastructure (servers, storage, cabling).
Support hardware replacements and rack maintenance tasks under guidance.
Help maintain documentation of datacenter layouts, IP assignments, and change logs.
Endpoint Management & OS Upgrades
Assist in planning and executing OS upgrade cycles for employee laptops (Windows & macOS).
Help maintain device images and follow upgrade runbooks.
Ensure devices meet security baselines and track compliance status.
Ship and support devices remotely for Amsterdam-based employees.
Network & Wireless Monitoring
Monitor wired and wireless network health across both offices and escalate anomalies.
Assist with Wi-Fi administration (access points, SSIDs, guest networks) in Berlin and remotely for Amsterdam.
Help troubleshoot basic connectivity and wireless coverage issues.
Mobile Device Management (MDM)
Support day-to-day MDM operations (e.g. Jamf, Intune, or similar) including device enrollment and policy application.
Assist with application deployment and device offboarding procedures.
Security & Patch Management
Assist with patch deployment cycles across employee endpoints and internal systems.
Help monitor security alerts and escalate incidents to senior staff.
Support enforcement of endpoint security policies (antivirus, disk encryption, screen-lock).
Help maintain patch status documentation and reports.
Required Qualifications
1–2 years of experience in an IT support, helpdesk, or junior sysadmin role (internships and apprenticeships count).
Basic understanding of Windows and/or macOS administration.
Familiarity with networking concepts: DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi-Fi.
Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced technical environment.
Good troubleshooting mindset,methodical, calm under pressure, and willing to dig in.
Strong communication skills; able to support non-technical users with patience.
Fluent in English; German is a plus.
Nice to Have
Any exposure to MDM tools such as Jamf or Microsoft Intune.
Basic scripting knowledge (Bash, PowerShell, or Python).
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Zabbix or Grafana.
Relevant certifications or coursework: CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft fundamentals, or similar.
