As a Key Account Manager | Key Account Manager (m/f/d), you will take on an existing portfolio of major automotive accounts at Neways Electronics Riesa, with full commercial responsibility, a clear mandate to manage margins independently, and a focus on operational continuity in client relationships. This role is aimed at experienced Account Managers and senior professionals who are at home in complex, multi-divisional client relationships involving production sites both domestically and abroad, and who know how to take a clear stance under pressure.
Full commercial responsibility for an existing portfolio of major automotive accounts, with P&L visibility
A clear mandate to manage margins independently – even in challenging negotiations
Direct reporting line to the Commercial Director – short lines of communication, clear mandates, quick decisions
A team currently being built with a clear segment strategy, active pipeline development and an environment that recognises performance
Fixed salary, performance-based variable remuneration and a company car (also for private use)
Based in Riesa with flexitime, an on-site gym and a high-quality working environment
Several years’ experience in account management or sales within the automotive sector – ideally in EMS, Tier 1, Tier 2 or a comparable manufacturing environment
A proven track record of successfully managing complex, multi-divisional client relationships independently, involving multiple points of contact (procurement, engineering, programme management)
Commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills – the ability to actively defend and expand margins, even under pressure
Operational reliability: structured approach to work, strong sense of responsibility, ability to prioritise independently even with a complex portfolio
Experience with international clients and production sites is an advantage
Fluency in German and English
Bachelor’s/Master’s/Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Electrical Engineering or a comparable field
Commercial management and development of an existing automotive portfolio, with a focus on operational continuity for clients – particularly in the case of complex, multi-divisional client relationships with production sites both domestically and abroad
Active acquisition of new automotive business: RFQ qualification, tendering process and commercial negotiations through to contract conclusion
Independent price and margin negotiations with client-side procurement – even in challenging commercial environments
Close collaboration with the proposal team and internal stakeholders in Operations, Engineering and Finance
Active involvement in shaping the automotive segment strategy and regular reporting to the Commercial Director
