Job Description:

Sherpa 6 is seeking a Lead Systems Integrator to support U.S. Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF) G6 in Wiesbaden, Germany. This role serves as a technical lead and trusted advisor, helping the Army integrate, sustain, and modernize cloud, network, and tactical systems across Europe. In this position, you will support operational readiness by integrating fielded systems and emerging technologies across cloud, on-prem, and tactical edge environments. You will work hands-on with Army stakeholders to improve network architectures, expand mobile device management capabilities, and integrate sensors, wearable technologies, small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS), and tactical applications into operational environments. The Lead Systems Integrator plays a key role in ensuring Army systems remain secure, resilient, and effective in Denied, Degraded, Intermittent, and Limited (DDIL) environments. This includes extending IL2, IL4, IL5, IL6, and commercial cloud capabilities, supporting coalition and partner force integration, and helping transition prototype technologies into Programs of Record (PoR). This is a highly visible role for candidates who enjoy solving complex problems, working directly with end users, and shaping how next-generation technologies are delivered to the Warfighter, without adding unnecessary complexity to their mission.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Lead Systems Integrator and Technology Advisor supporting USAREUR-AF G6, providing hands-on technical leadership across cloud, network, and tactical systems.
  • Integrate and sustain fielded Army capabilities and emerging technologies within Integrated Tactical Network (ITN) and Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) architectures.
  • Support the integration of sensors, wearable technologies, and small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) into the TAK ecosystem to improve situational awareness and sensor-to-shooter workflows.
  • Assess, integrate, and validate tactical applications to ensure they are operationally effective, secure, and scalable across cloud, on-prem, and tactical edge environments.
  • Extend and optimize Army Cloud, on-prem, and edge capabilities (IL2, IL4, IL5, IL6, and commercial cloud) to support coalition operations and partner force integration.
  • Provide sustainment and expansion support for Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, including Watchtower, enabling management of Android, iOS, and Windows-based tactical devices.
  • Enable the transition of prototype technologies into Programs of Record (PoR) by evaluating operational impact, sustainment requirements, and integration risks.
  • Identify, assess, and integrate leading-edge commercial and government technologies with potential battlefield applications, including robotics, high-bandwidth tactical networking, and private/commercial cellular solutions.
  • Advise on AI integration and tactical device orchestration, including cloud-based and edge-deployed AI solutions, to enhance decision-making and system automation.
  • Design and integrate information portrayal solutions that allow leaders to visualize system performance, cybersecurity posture, and sensor data at the tactical edge.
  • Ensure solutions minimize cognitive burden on the Warfighter while maximizing operational effectiveness.
  • Support sensor pilot programs and modernization efforts in Eastern Europe as part of broader Army and DoD integration initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Army stakeholders to identify mission-critical applications, address infrastructure gaps, and deliver resilient solutions in Denied, Degraded, Intermittent, and Limited (DDIL) environments.
  • Provide on-site technical leadership in Wiesbaden, Germany, with reach-back support from CONUS-based engineering teams as needed.
