About the Role:
Be a driving force behind Fioneer's growth strategy as an internal consultant for our HR team within the crucial topic of employment law in Germany. We have ambitious plans and need to take bold decisions. Taking informed decisions is key to our success. Therefore, we are looking for a motivated and ambitious colleague that will drive the topic of employment law within our HR department. In this role you will be part of Fioneer's HR team.
Tasks are all around employment law:
Actively advising the HR team in all topics concerning employment law
Draft, review, and update employment contracts, amendments, and legal templates
Monitor legal and regulatory developments in German employment law and ensure implementation within the company
Being the go-to person for colleagues and management concerning employment law topics
Provide support throughout the entire employee lifecycle from onboarding to off-boarding, including the facilitation of respectful separation processes such as negotiating termination or settlement agreements, preparing dismissals, and participating in conciliation hearings
Serve as a liaison with in-house Legal and external legal lawyers on complex cases
Actively participate in HR projects (e.g., compliance, policy development, digitalization)
You have successfully completed a university degree in HR, Business Administration, Economics, Law, Business Law or a related field, and have successfully applied your expertise in employment law within an HR department or at a law firm/office
You have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience working in the field of employment law in Germany
Strong knowledge of German labor law and how to apply it in day-to-day HR practice
Experience in HR/labour law in other European countries is considered a plus
Willingness to travel within Germany
Experience in working within a consultancy or a fast-growing start-up is considered a plus
Professional, empathetic, and solution-oriented communication style, especially when handling sensitive HR issues
Independent and structured working style, with a high level of discretion and reliability and you are able to keep track of multiple tasks even in turbulent times
You are fluent in German and English
Experience with SuccessFactors is a plus
