BIOMEX in Heidelberg is expanding its research and development divisions with the creation of new departments in Life Sciences and Bioengineering. As part of our innovative industrial network of technology platforms with access to human disease and healthy samples, we invite applications for the following full-time position:

• Lead the development and generation of a disease organoid library as a product within the Life Sciences division.
• Build a service platform for drug testing in research and clinical applications.
• Establish and oversee the organoid platform for high-throughput and versatile development of disease-relevant organoids and assembloids.
• Focus on protocol optimization and scalable production of organoids/assembloids.

Your role:

• Take responsibility for the strategic and operational establishment of a cutting-edge organoid platform.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to advance innovative solutions for 3D organoid research.
• Develop workflows to deliver high-quality and reliable organoid production services to research and clinical stakeholders.

• A top-level scientist with a PhD in Biology and Experimental Medicine, with a minimum of four years of hands-on experience in organoid technology, patient-derived organoids (PDOs), and 3D cell culture research.
• Strong expertise in protocol development and scaling methodologies for organoid production.
• Excellent communication skills to lead collaborative projects and interact with diverse teams.
• A passion for innovation in Life Sciences and the commitment to building a high-quality, reliable service platform.
