Licensed Vocational Nurse

Introduction:

FAR Government, Inc. (FARGOV) is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to deliver exceptional nursing care services to the personnel stationed at Ramstein Air Base, Germany.

Position: Licensed Vocational Nurse

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Location: 86th MEDICAL GROUP, RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany

Schedule: 40 h/ week

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report any abnormalities.
• Assist with patient assessments and document findings.
• Provide basic patient care, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and self-care techniques.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards.
• Perform routine procedures, such as collecting specimens for laboratory testing.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and provide first aid if necessary.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities

Qualifications:

• Must have successfully completed all education and training requirements leading to and graduated from an accredited national, state, or military equivalent school for Vocational Nursing. ​
• Must possess a current, active, valid, unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) from a US jurisdiction. ​
• Completion of an accredited vocational or practical nursing program. ​
• Successful completion of the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN).
• Compliance with all continuing education requirements to maintain licensure. ​
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. ​
