Live-in Care Assistant for the Elderly - Germany

As a Live-in Care Assistant, you will provide essential support to elderly clients, enabling them to live comfortably and with dignity in their own homes.

Your work will involve forming strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs, and ensuring they receive the assistance they require for daily activities. This position is pivotal in enhancing the quality of life for elderly individuals while fostering a safe and supportive home environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assist with daily living activities, meal preparation, and medication management
• Support clients with mobility and physical exercises as necessary
• Monitor the health and well-being of clients, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals
• Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life
• Help maintain a clean and organized living space
• Collaborate with families and other healthcare professionals to implement care plans
• Participate in ongoing training and development to improve caregiving skills

• Previous experience as a live-in carer or in elderly care is not necessary
• German language skills at least A2 level
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Empathetic and patient-centered approach to caregiving
• Ability to work independently
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in elderly care are advantageous
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required
