The ICCT is seeking a self-motivated and dedicated Associate Researcher or Researcher to support a broad range of projects focused on decarbonization of the maritime sector, including alternative fuels and climate & health related impact assessments. The position will have a strong emphasis on policy development within the European Union and the International Maritime Organization. This is a full-time position based in Germany, France, Sweden, or Ireland, with the condition of spending at least the first 6 months in Berlin, Germany.

What we offer:
Our preference is for the candidate to work out of our office in the heart of Berlin, Germany. However, following an initial minimum 6-month orientation training in our Berlin office, candidates may apply to work from elsewhere within Germany, France, Ireland, or Sweden, with the requirement to regularly visit the Berlin office. This position offers an annual starting salary of EUR 70,000 for Associate Researcher or EUR 84,000 for Researcher (40 hours/week if working from Germany), depending on your level of experience. We offer an initial 2-year contract, with the possibility of extension depending on organizational resources and performance.
