WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

As a Mechanical Technician (m/f/x), you will play a key role in securing the safe and efficient operation of our mechanical systems while actively contributing to the build-up and optimization of a new plant. This role goes beyond classical maintenance: you will collaborate closely with our Engineering and R&D teams and take ownership in developing technical procedures and standards.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

1. Maintenance & Optimization

Execute preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical equipment in accordance with the maintenance plan.
Quickly identify and resolve faults using root cause analysis, helping to avoid recurrence.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve system reliability and performance.

2. Installation & Commissioning

Assemble and install new equipment and machinery based on technical documentation and manufacturer instructions.
Perform functional tests, adjustments and commissioning activities.
Support the SAT process and provide hands-on technical expertise during new installations.

3. Documentation & Process Build-up

Contribute to the design and implementation of a maintenance management system (procedures, checklists, technical documentation).
Accurately record maintenance tasks, fault reports, and inspections.

4. Safety & Compliance

Ensure full adherence to tozero HSE procedures, German regulations (BetrSichV, DGUV, TRBS), and relevant standards (ISO, OSHA).
Maintain a safe and well-organized working environment, especially in a chemical / industrial context.

5. Cross-Team Collaboration

Coordinate with internal Engineering and R&D teams during technical interventions.
Supervise and coordinate external contractors performing mechanical work on-site.

Your profile

Required Qualifications:

Completed vocational training in industrial mechanics, mechatronics, or related technical field (Germany-recognized).
Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical installation, maintenance, and repair in industrial / chemical environments.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and mechanical schematics.
Hands-on experience with pumps, piping, welding and mechanical drive systems.
English and German language proficiency (at least B1 level).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in greenfield or scale-up facilities.
Familiarity with maintenance management software.
Valid forklift license (Staplerschein).
