Arbeitsbeschreibung - Metal Fabrication Technician (m/f/x)

Join us as Metal Fabrication Technician (m/f/x) and work with us on changing the future!
  • Experience in operating CNC machines such as milling, turning and grinding. Additionally experience in machine set up and running production processes.
  • High level of interest to learn new machines on optics production such as Diamond Turning, Vacuum Coating and dimensional Metrology by supporting in new product development of precision optics. 
  • Perform difficult and complex set-ups and operate machine on assignments, under minimal supervision with direction from engineering or area supervisor.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and basic exposure to Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) 
  • Ability to record inspection data, labor hours and job information as required in manufacturing systems, 
  • Maintain a clean an orderly work environment by following cleaning schedules and inventory control, and comfortable to dynamically changing high pace environment.
  • Experience in use of manual metrology and inspection equipment with experience or desired training in state-of-the-art metrology equipment
  • Vocational degree or apprenticeship in machining or other technical discipline such as: Industriemechaniker Fachrichtung Feingerätebau(m/w/x),  Zerspanungsmechaniker(m/w/x), Feinwerkmechaniker(m/w/x), Mechanical, Manufacturing Technology or Optics Manufacturing.
  • 3+ years on Manual Machining / or Metal Fabrication Manufacturing production experience in an industry. 
  • Can do attitude, willing to complete all steps within a given defined process with varying complexity and level of skill required.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Work and Excel and have excellent organizational skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written in English. German language knowledge is a plus.
