Your mission
We are looking for a New Business Director / Director Global Partnerships to take ownership of identifying, shaping, and closing new business opportunities for The Storytelling Company.
This role is for a self-starting, relationship-driven, culturally fluent business leader who can recognise opportunity early and convert it into long-term client relationships. You will play a key role in building sustainable and versatile growth for the company, working across culture, sports, entertainment, and original formats.
This is a hands-on, autonomous role with clear commercial accountability and close (but lightweight) alignment with leadership.
What You’ll Do
- Identify, originate, and pursue new business opportunities aligned with TSC’s creative and technological strengths
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with clients and stakeholders across culture, sports, and entertainment
- Convert conversations and opportunities into signed projects and long-term client relationships
- Expand TSC’s presence in new markets, territories, and sectors, with a strong international focus
- Shape client ambition into clear, winnable opportunity spaces and briefs
- Lead negotiations and support contract development, scopes, and commercial structures
- Act as a confident external representative of TSC at pitches, meetings, and industry events
- Collaborate with creative, production, PR, and finance teams to ensure opportunities are viable, aligned, and deliverable
- Maintain a healthy, realistic new business pipeline and take ownership of targets
How You Work
- You operate independently and proactively, originating opportunities and owning conversations end-to-end
- You are hands-on and comfortable doing the work yourself, rather than delegating to large teams
- You align closely with leadership on direction and priorities, without heavy management layers
- You act as a clear bridge between external clients and internal teams, aligning expectations early
You champion a quality-over-quantity approach to new business.
