About our client

A telecommunications infrastructure company is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to take ownership of the structural integrity of its mast and tower portfolio, working across assessment, modification and standards development.

Responsibilities

• Review inspection reports for masts and towers and recommend appropriate repair or maintenance measures.


• Carry out structural analyses and verifications for masts, antenna supports and foundations using calculation methods and structural analysis software.


• Coordinate external engineering partners and mast suppliers and ensure their work meets the company's technical requirements.


• Prepare technical reports covering strengthening and modification works, including adjustments to masts and foundations.


• Assess incoming engineering requests, define the scope of work and document the outcome in technical reports.


• Produce and check construction and modification drawings in collaboration with the drafting team.


• Maintain accurate technical asset data to support commercial and customer-facing teams.


• Contribute to the development of internal standards, guidelines, processes and technical documentation.


• Work with IT and business functions to develop technical tools, and ensure infrastructure documentation is filed in line with applicable standards.

Requirements

• Degree in civil engineering, structural engineering or a closely related discipline.


• Several years of professional experience in structural design, ideally involving telecommunications masts, steel structures or construction supervision.


• Strong working knowledge of steel and reinforced concrete design and the relevant Eurocodes.


• Hands-on experience producing structural calculations, construction drawings and technical specifications.


• Confident user of structural analysis software, CAD tools and standard office applications.


• Structured, analytical and reliable way of working with strong attention to detail.


• Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to organise and prioritise effectively.


• Recognised structural engineering certification is an advantage.


• Professional fluency in German, with good English.
