For our location Office in Ulm, Germany we are looking for a dedicated Operations Specialist to join our team.   

What you will do:
The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the internal operations within Elgin Germany. This position involves coordinating day-to-day activities, schedules, optimizing processes, and supporting project management to enhance overall efficiency and productivity. The operations manager reports directly to the Managing Director and works closely across the cross-functional teams which include development, finance, legal and other business units, to align project initiatives with organisational goals and priorities. 
 
  • Supporting the implementation of operational strategies, initiatives and policies that support the company's growth and objectives 
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of ongoing projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Analyse operational data to identify trends, monitor performance, and propose improvements for German operations and team. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operational processes and implement best practices.
  • Prepare regular reports on operational performance, project status, and potential challenges for management review.
  • Support the preparation of materials for regular internal board reporting, presentations, and supporting materials for external consultants. 
  • Manage and coordinate all office activities such as managing events, preparing for members of other offices arrival, coordinating meetings and other administrative tasks. 
  • Assist in onboarding tasks for new team members
  • Work cross-functionally with People & Culture, Operations and Finance.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations or project management role within the renewable energy, infrastructure, or related sectors, with proven success in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Extensive experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving operational efficiencies across large project portfolios.
  • Strong commercial and legal acumen, with the ability to support high-value transactions, including fund-raising and asset sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, cash flows, and financial reporting for executive and board-level stakeholders.
  • Expertise in risk management, quality control, and the delivery of large-scale projects on time and within budget.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive collaboration across departments.
  • Proficiency in using project management and IT systems to streamline portfolio management and reporting processes.
