Pediatric Pulmonology-Fellowhsip

The Division of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at Children’s Hospital of Montefiore, the Pediatric teaching hospital at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, has an opening for Fellowship training in Pediatric Pulmonology starting July 2025.  

Our training program provides the fellows with a wide range of clinical experiences in inpatient and outpatient management of pediatric pulmonary diseases.   The Division has many multidisciplinary services including the Asthma Center, Technology Dependent Center, Sleep Center, Aero-Digestive Center, BPD clinic, Neuromuscular clinic, sickle cell clinic, and an Interstitial Lung Disease Program as part of the Childhood Interstitial Lung Disease Research Network. We have a well-equipped Bronchoscopy facility, PFT laboratories including cardio- Pulmonary exercise stress testing, and a 4-bed Sleep laboratory. On an average, the fellows perform 150 bronchoscopies a year.

In addition, there are several academic opportunities for Clinical and Translational Research, quality improvement projects, and involvement in the education and teaching of residents and medical students.  Our program sponsors H1 and J1 visas. 

Established 20 years ago, the graduates from our program are leaders in the field of pediatric pulmonary diseases, and most continue their careers in academic medicine. 

In addition to a salary of $80,000-90,000, we offer paid malpractice insurance, health, dental and vision, 403(b) and 457 tax shelters and much more. 

The applicants should have completed their pediatric residency and USMLE Step 1 and Step 2, and preferably Step 3, to enable them to start the fellowship in July 2025.
