The Ethernet-based network infrastructure is evolving fast with the development of data centers. AI nowadays is driving the data center network to higher speed, lower latency, higher reliability, and at the same time demanding lower power per bit of transmission.

The Applied Network Technologies Laboratory in MRC is extensively involved in diverse research topics for future Ethernet technologies. Your mission

• Analyze the future trend of Ethernet for data center applications and derive the requirements for the Ethernet infrastructure in data center scenarios


• Explore networking technologies to enable low-latency, high-reliability and low-power datacenter communication


• Design and develop proof of concepts illustrating the relevant data center scenarios and the advantages of the core technology


• Attend top-tier conferences, involvement in standardization activities

Your areas of expertise

• Master in CS, EEE, IT or other related disciplines, passionate about innovations and technology


• Practical experience in communication networks


• Skills in programming languages, e.g. C/C++ or Python


• Fluent in written and spoken English
