Principal of Information Security (f/m/d)

Our compensation package: €120,000 - €135,000 in yearly salary, €120,000 - €180,000 in equity. Additionally, up to €5,000/year in company benefits

Your role

You will lead Orbem’s information security strategy, guarding information across products and applications. As Principal of Information Security, you are Orbem’s security mastermind. You will be responsible for leading the development of the company-wide information security program, ensuring all our products and applications meet the highest security standards through compliance with international certifications.

Your day-to-day

You will be focusing on the following areas:

• Collaborate with engineering, product, and operation teams to integrate information security best practices through the entire development lifecycle and company operations
• Develop and implement a robust and scalable information security program that encompasses risk assessments, vulnerability management, incident response planning, and security awareness training.
• Oversee and manage the ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance processes, ensuring adherence to all relevant controls and requirements.
• Identify and implement security controls to mitigate risks and safeguard sensitive information across our products and applications.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest information security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
• Analyze security data to identify trends, potential threats, and areas for improvement.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistent information protection practices.
• Promote a culture of information security within the organization.

Leadership 

• You have 7+ years of experience in information security, with proven track records of success in an individual contributor leadership role.

• You are an excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills and can influence and collaborate across teams.

• You thrive in open communication and feedback-based working cultures.

Information Security

• You have a deep understanding of ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance frameworks

• You have experience with security risk assessments, vulnerability management, and incident response planning.

• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• You have experience in developing and implementing company-wide information security programs

• You are proficient in information security tools and methodologies

• You are obsessed with information security and committed to continuous improvement

What makes you stand out from other candidates

• Experience working in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment

• Experience with cloud security and security automation tools for AI in industrial automation

• Proven track record of successfully achieving and maintaining ISO 27001 and/or SOC 2 certifications
