We are looking for Principals (m/f/d) to join our team as soon as possible and ideally be based in Berlin. 
The role of a Principal encompasses the following:
  • Supporting senior management in the strategic and operational development of Value for Good 
  • Managing and delivering client projects
  • Developing new client relationships 
  • Mentoring consultants 
We are looking to fill the following two Principal roles at Value for Good:

1. A “generalist” Principal to join our team and provide all-round leadership on consulting projects across our three practice groups: global development, private sector and local impact. Depending on expertise and passion, Principals can specialise in any of these practice groups.

You would be a great fit for this role if you have:
  • Demonstrated passion and commitment to work on societal challenges
  • Altogether minimum of 6 years of work experience, including:
    1. 3+ years of top-tier strategy consulting
    2. Extensive project leadership experience working on societal challenges with reputable organisations
  • Very strong track record in managing projects and teams
  • Keen interest to foster the development of junior colleagues via training and coaching
  • Strong motivation to actively contribute to Value for Good’s growth and business development
  • Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and passion to contribute to a strong team culture
  • Fluency in English is a must. German and French language skills are considered an asset

2. A Principal focused on our Human Development Accelerator (HDX) engagement for at least 1 year (thereafter you could “roll off” the project to support other projects across our practice groups). HDX is a partnership between the European Commission (EC), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) to provide more than €1 billion of guarantees and grants for enabling innovation and improving access to healthcare in low- and middle-income countries. Value for Good (VfG), from the outset, has supported this partnership by setting up the HDX Hub which is a dedicated team sitting within the EIB who are tasked with identifying and executing a pipeline of over €1billion of deals. VfG has also been acting as the secretariat to provide governance and operational support and ensure the partnership is able to effectively deliver on their ambitious targets. 

In addition to the requirements listed under 1., you would be a great fit for this role if you have:
  • Experience working with development finance institutions
  • Good understanding of LMICs and global health market drivers 
  • Experience working in cross- sector environments, ideally with experience working with European institutions 
  • A willingness to travel to Brussels on a monthly basis
