Black Semiconductor GmbH is currently looking for a motivated and detail-oriented New Process Engineer specializing in Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD), dielectric, and metal deposition processes to join our Semiconductor FAB team. This role is essential for developing and implementing new production processes, contributing to the innovation and efficiency of semiconductor manufacturing
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving the development and optimization of ALD, dielectric, and metal deposition processes, directly enhancing our semiconductor manufacturing capabilities
- Assist in the design, development, and optimization of new ALD, dielectric, and metal deposition processes to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency
- Collaborate with equipment engineers and technicians to successfully transition new processes from development to production
- Conduct experiments and process runs to characterize and validate new processes, gathering and analyzing data to ensure process robustness
- Support process integration activities, ensuring alignment of new technologies with existing manufacturing workflows and standards
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process recipes, operational procedures, and training materials
- Work within cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvements within the deposition area
- Stay up to date with industry advancements in ALD, dielectric, and metal deposition to incorporate best practices into new processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus
- Up to 3 years of experience in process engineering, with a focus on ALD, dielectric, or metal deposition in semiconductor manufacturing (FAB) preferred, though not mandatory
- Understanding of deposition processes and techniques, including ALD, CVD, and PVD, and their applications in semiconductor manufacturing
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and use it to drive decision-making in process development
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with an eagerness to collaborate with cross-functional teams and learn from experienced professionals
- Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards related to semiconductor manufacturing processes is a plus
- A proactive approach and willingness to tackle challenges in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
