Phlair unleashes CO2's potential through breakthrough innovation. We rapidly deploy Direct Air Capture technology, facilitating the removal and reuse of CO2 at scale. 
 
For decades, fossil fuels served as the backbone and feedstock of our economy – with the downside of polluting our atmosphere. We invert this equation by developing a cost-efficient and scalable electrochemical Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology. We have cracked the nut here by developing a breakthrough hydrolizer for acid/base regeneration, allowing us to capture CO2 from ambient air for either permanent storage or as a precursor for CO2-negative chemicals. For this, we collaborate with leading customers like Frontier Climate, Stripe, Shopify and Klarna.

Together with our team, you will work on developing strategic supplier relationships. If you obsess about building relationships and enjoy sourcing the best deal (i.e., Ebay Kleinanzeigen ranks high on your social apps), you’re great for this role and you’ll enjoy the journey ahead!  
 

• Establish relationships with all suppliers for the overall electrochemical stack process, especially around the stack parts
• Lead and procure parts in coordination with technical teams 
• Report to the Finance Lead and CEO to continuously develop the financial model 
• Establish and maintain key supplier relationships leading up to potential Joint Development Agreements (JDAs)
• Evaluating procurement processes of our partners 
• Contract management for shareholders

 
Your targets are an important roadmap, but nothing is set in stone in the startup world.Hard skills that are necessary

• You have an M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science or related fields
• You already have an understanding of chemical and mechanical equipment and processes and have gained first commercial experience
• You have a deep understanding of accounting and a basic understanding of logistics

Soft skills that are necessary

• You can communicate complex technical phenomena in simple words in German and English
• You are able to build long-term relationships and are always looking to win the best deal

• Experience from a previous procurement role
• Detailed knowledge of designing and optimizing complex flow processes
• Detailed knowledge of typical equipment that is used in chemical plants

We are the first EU and German DAC company to be selected by Frontier Climate. Frontier is a buyers' club for high quality carbon removal credits, i.e. a certificate validating the permanent (for >1,000 years!) and additional (to natural processes) removal of carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere, thereby curbing global warming.
