IMAGINE THE FUTURE AT ENVALIOR

As a Product Development Expert for Performance Materials at Envalior, you will lead new development projects for polyamides and polyesters and associated raw material projects in close collaboration with product management, manufacturing, technical marketing and customers. Your main responsibilities constitute:

Development or modification of polymer compounds

• Technical lead and coordination of product development projects within agreed timing and budgets together with project team.
• Translate customer needs into technical development requirement in close cooperation with application development/marketing/customer
• Execute product development / Raw material qualification following the APQP process and report progress and outcome
• Upscaling of development products from development phase to upscaling phase and support launching of the product to running business in cooperation with the marketing & sales team and customers

Maintain and build raw material and product know how

• Generate product knowhow through execution and implementation of development projects, build understanding on related key raw materials
• Generate IP and gatekeeper on relevant competitor IP portfolio
• Steer and align science projects to accelerate development speed in close cooperation with scientists
• Competitive Intelligence on related products; performance, composition, applications and technology trends

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• We require an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, self-motivated, result oriented and persuasive person.
• Above average PhD, Master Degree in Chemistry or Polymer Chemistry or a similar materials science field
• We’re looking for a team player who is able to work together with various disciplines in a global R&D setup.
• Strong will to find solution for technical and regulatory challenges within a given time
• Proficient in spoken and written English and German
• It is imperative that you have good overall communication and social skills, commercial affinity is a plus.
