Arbeitsbeschreibung - Product Manager (m/f/d) for Optical Frequency Combs with industrial applications

You will be responsible for our optical frequency combs with focus on industrial applications. Menlo Systems is the pioneer and the leading developer and global supplier of the Nobel Prize winning optical frequency comb technology. You will be part of this team and support the success of our frequency comb products.
You will be responsible for the entire product life cycle (incl. budget, revenue, profit, etc.) of these specific products.
You develop and maintain the product roadmap
You occupy a unique position at the interface between customers and various internal departments, and manage inter-departmental communication
You lead the conception and definition of new products and oversee their development, from idea to product release
You conduct competitive analyses, analyze market and customer requirements, and create and implement action plans
You contribute to product marketing through appropriate communication and marketing measures, as well as the creation of sales documents
You actively expand our customer and partner network

You have a degree in physics, photonics, laser technology, electrical engineering or a similar field, preferably with a doctorate
You have excellent knowledge of optical frequency combs, femtosecond lasers, nonlinear optics and stabilization electronics, ideally combined with several years of experience in product and/or project management
You convince with your strong communication skills, flexibility, team spirit as well as a systematic and analytical way of thinking
You enjoy business trips within Europe, as well as occasionally to destinations worldwide
You have excellent English language skills, and preferably also speak German
