Product Planning Specialist

Segula Technologies Experts GmbH - as part of Segula Technologies, a globally operating engineering group in the automotive, energy, rail, shipping and aviation industries with over 10,000 employees - is an independent development and consulting company with approx. 320 employees for customers in the automotive, commercial vehicle and aviation industries with core competences as a system development service provider in design and concept, calculation and simulation, mechanical engineering and construction, electrics and electronics, integration and ergonomics as well as prototyping and validation.

• Lead product portfolio activities to support strategic product definition.
• Combine market insights, competitive intelligence, and financial data to shape product strategy.
• Conduct structured analysis and data-driven modeling to evaluate segment dynamics and competitor positioning.
• Develop lifecycle opportunities and define product mix, profitability, and timing.
• Prepare proposals to support decision-making and optimized portfolio planning for overseas markets.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing and sales teams to align product direction.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or related field.
• Proven experience in automotive product planning (PPL), ideally with exposure to European and global markets.
• Strong background in market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and portfolio strategy.
• Ability to integrate financial understanding into product mix and profitability decisions.
• Excellent skills in data-driven analysis and modeling (Excel, BI tools, forecasting).
• Strong communication and presentation skills to convey insights and proposals to senior stake-holders.
