Product Specialist Product Management (Monitoring & Control) (f/m/d)

Key responsibilities 

As Product Specialist in Product Management, you will be part of an agile team developing and maintaining products and solutions in the field of Industrial Control & Monitoring Devices within ABB’s Smart Power Division. You will help translate market and customer needs into product and system specifications and contribute to the further development of a key portfolio including measuring, monitoring, power supply, and interface relay solutions. 

This role offers close collaboration with both local and international stakeholders as well as direct customer interaction, providing an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative solutions in a dynamic environment. 

You will be mainly accountable for: 

• Analyze market and customer requirements and continuously monitor the product and solution portfolio  

• Identify business opportunities and develop technical product/solution specifications as well as business cases  

• Develop and execute market entry strategies for complementary product offerings, from specification to launch  

• Act as the voice of the customer within the organization and support operational functions in product management  

• Track business performance of assigned products/services on a regular basis and drive improvement actions  

• Collaborate closely with Sales, Channels, and Agile Units to ensure product availability and market communication  

• Support Marketing & Communications with relevant content and documentation for campaigns and promotional activities  

• Ensure compliance with safety and integrity standards in line with company values 

Qualifications for the role 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Automation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field  

• Experience in product management within the electrification sector, with solid technical understanding and business acumen  

• Strong customer focus combined with market and competitor awareness  

• Self-motivated, ambitious, and proactive mindset  

• Team-oriented, with an independent, structured, and solution-focused working style  

• Ability to perform effectively in agile and fast-changing environments, with a strong sense of the bigger picture  

• Business-fluent Englisch and fluent German, both written and spoken
