Arbeitsbeschreibung - Program Buyer (m/w/d) - for semiconductor industry

Role Overview: \nWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Program Buyer \u2013 Mechanical Components \u0026 Assemblies to manage the procurement of high-precision mechanical components and assemblies for both R\u0026D projects and industrialization. This role plays a critical part in building a resilient supply chain and ensuring supplier readiness for high-volume manufacturing (HVM).\n\nRole Responsibilities:\n\n * Act as the primary procurement interface for electron\u2011optical column programs, ensuring alignment between engineering, operations, and suppliers.\n\n * Drive procurement deliverables across all program phases (prototype, NPI, industrialization, ramp).\n\n * Support Make/Buy decisions, cost modelling, and supplier selection in alignment with category management.\n\n * Manage a portfolio of suppliers for precision mechanical parts, vacuum components, optics, electrical modules, and cleanroom\u2011grade materials.\n\n * Conduct RFQ processes, technical/commercial evaluations, and negotiation of pricing and delivery terms.\n\n * Ensure supplier readiness for high-mix, low-volume production typical of electron\u2011optical systems\n\n * Drive cost reduction initiatives, value engineering, and continuous improvement with internal stakeholders and suppliers.\n\n * Monitor and manage supplier performance (OTD, quality, adherence to specs, change control).\n\n * Mitigate risks related to long-lead materials, machining tolerances, and special processes\n\n * Work closely with Engineering (R\u0026D, Mechanical Design, Optics, Vacuum Systems), Program Management, Operations, and Quality.\n\n * Support BOM reviews, engineering changes (ECN/ECO), and introduction of new suppliers and materials.\n\n * Facilitate smooth handover from development to production, ensuring supply chain stability\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\n * Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.\n\n * 5+ years of experience in technical procurement, ideally within semiconductor equipment, precision mechanics, vacuum technology, or high\u2011tech manufacturing.\n\n * Experience with complex assemblies and multi\u2011level BOM environments.\n\n * Strong understanding of precision machining, optics/vacuum components, or cleanroom\u2011relevant materials (preferred).\n\n * Excellent negotiation, supplier management, and analytical skills.\n\n * Comfortable working in fast\u2011paced, engineering\u2011driven environments with frequent design iterations.\n\n * Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and solid MS Office skills.\n\n * Fluent in German and English\n\n\n\n\nYour benefits:\n\n * An exciting, international, and dynamic environment, working in a high technology company with human touch\n\n * Extensive further education offers, individual training, learning \u0026 development opportunities, and cooperation with experienced employees\n\n * Company pension scheme with the possibility of top-up via salary conversion and disability insurance\n\n * Travel insurance, can also be used privately\n\n * Capital-forming benefits\n\n * 30 days of vacation\n\n * Bonus program\n\n * Wellhub\n\n\n\n\nSounds interesting?
