Quality Inspector

Basic Purpose and Objective of the Position:

The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that raw materials, components, and finished products meet established quality standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements. This position performs inspections, verifies dimensional and visual characteristics, documents results, and identifies nonconformities to prevent defects and ensure product compliance. The Quality Inspector works closely with Production and Engineering teams to support problem-solving, continuous improvement, and the maintenance of quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. Technical education in a relevant field is required.

Major Responsibilities:

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality audits.


• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials, components, and finished products.


• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and inspection criteria.


• Use precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.


• Verify product dimensions and ensure compliance with quality requirements.


• Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.


• Identify, document, and report nonconformities.


• Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities.


• Active support for quality investigations, root-cause analyses, and special inspections to resolve technical non-conformances and prevent recurrence


• Follow established quality procedures and applicable safety requirements.


• Support calibration control.


• Monitor key quality indicators.


• Responsibilities may evolve in line with business needs, within the scope of this role.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Technical degree or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Metrology, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing.

• Knowledge of quality management systems, such as ISO 9001or EN9100.


• Experience with nonconformance reports and corrective actions.

• Experience with inspection reports and quality documentation.

Technical Skills:

• Good computer skills and ability to maintain accurate documentation.


• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and tolerance requirements.

• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.

• Knowledge on quality tools (Example: 5why, Ishikawa diagram)

Language Skills:

• German (B1–C1), English (B2–C1)
