As part of our expansion in Europe, we want to expand our commercial offering around the marketing of the flexibility of our thermal storage. For this we’re looking for a data-driven and technically skilled professional to help us unlock the full potential of our thermal storage systems in the energy market. You’ll combine programming and analytical expertise with business acumen to identify opportunities, develop models, and support strategic decisions that drive innovation and impact.

What you will do

Analyze and model monetization opportunities for thermal storage across:

Day-ahead and intraday trading
Secondary control power (aFRR) and other ancillary services
Grid support and redispatch mechanisms (e.g., Redispatch 2.0)
Build and validate business cases using data-driven methods and simulations
Develop and maintain analytical tools and dashboards to monitor market trends, price signals, and regulatory changes
Design commercial offers, pricing strategies, and scalable business models
Work closely with engineering and sales teams to align technical capabilities with market needs
Support customer meetings, tenders, and project cost calculations with quantitative insights
Continuously monitor market developments and adapt strategies accordingly

Your skills and experiences

3 years of experience in energy market analysis, trading, or product development
Strong analytical mindset with a passion for data and modeling
Proficiency in programming and data analysis (e.g., Python, SQL, Excel, or similar tools)
Experience building and presenting business cases based on quantitative models
Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work across commercial and technical domains
Fluent in English

Nice-to-Haves

Knowledge of the German electricity market and flexibility mechanisms

Experience with energy storage systems, aggregators, or trading platforms
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., BNetzA, Redispatch 2.0, EPEX Spot, TSO processes)
Knowledge of thermal storage, hybrid energy systems, or industrial energy consumers
Experience with energy management systems, control technologies, or optimization software
German language skills
