Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and workflows supporting AI-driven financial applications.
- Build and enhance infrastructure for products across payments, insurance, wallets, savings, investments, travel services, and other financial solutions.
- Develop reliable systems for account management, transaction processing, reconciliation, notifications, and operational workflows.
- Collaborate closely with product, mobile, and business teams to deliver seamless customer-facing experiences and accelerate product launches.
- Integrate with external partners including banks, payment providers, insurers, and third-party data services.
- Improve platform reliability, observability, security, and performance through monitoring, optimization, and best engineering practices.
- Design systems that meet operational, audit, and regulatory requirements while maintaining scalability and resilience.
- Take ownership of production challenges, proactively identifying risks, edge cases, and opportunities for long-term system improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in backend software engineering and production environments.
- Strong understanding of API development, database design, distributed systems, and backend architecture principles.
- Proven experience building scalable services and integrating third-party platforms and external systems.
- Solid knowledge of software reliability, security practices, data consistency, and operational risk management.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities in production environments.
- Ability to balance speed, quality, scalability, and business requirements when making technical decisions.
- Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including product, operations, mobile, and business stakeholders.
- Practical mindset with the ability to design systems that perform reliably in real-world scenarios and under changing requirements.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Experience within fintech, banking, insurance, lending, payments, or other regulated industries is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
