Backend-Entwickler Ruby on Rails (m/w/d)

DOCYET is a healthcare-specialized software company that supports all actors along the patient journey. Our mission: making pioneering care simple and scalable.

We build highly configurable software to serve an array of use-cases and actors in the health-care system (insurances, hospitals, doctor clinics). Our web application is built primarily using Ruby on Rails, Hotwire, PostgreSQL and Redis. Our in-house Chatbot framework and Knowledge Graph is developed in Julia.We value technical competence and experience solving real-world problems over being the perfect match tech stack wise.

Required:

• You have a strong technical foundation. Preferably, a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or software engineering 
•  You are based in Germany (remote) or Leipzig (hybrid) 
•  You have +2 years of experience developing with Ruby on Rails or 4+ years as a backend developer 
•  You can model complex business domains and data relationships. You have a deep knowledge of OOP, SQL, data-modelling and requirements engineering in general 
•  You can architect new features and solutions, weighing trade-offs in performance, maintainability and speed of delivery
  

Nice to have: 

• You have front-end skills (vanilla JavaScript, CSS or Sass). You care about UI/UX 
• You have DevOps skills (containerized applications, building pipelines) 
• You are familiar or curious about topics like AI, Machine Learning, Bayesian Networks, functional programming

• Design, architect and implement new features for our platform to develop conversational agents and patient workflows 
•  Maintain and improve our existing software 
•  Work closely with the development team and actively participate in scrum rituals
