CTO (m/w/d)

We are convinced that energy efficiency is an important factor in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals! Our platform is evolving rapidly and is on track to soon become the standard for energy consumption management in the real estate industry. It is already being used by the largest organizations in the market. We believe in a CO2-free real estate sector and want to enable all stakeholders with an alert, predict and control approach to contribute to that.

Did you scale a big data product before? Did you bring an IoT Product to the next level? Not only that, but you are also looking for a new challenge and a product, that will make a real difference for future generations? 
Then you should become KUGU's CTO (m/w/d) in Berlin!

• You define a tech strategy for the successful scaling of the KUGU platform and all its components
• You are responsible, that your team delivers the implementation of the product requirements
• You will ensure, that our systems can handle more than 3 Million connected IoT devices and well over 100.000.000 messages a day
• You work closely with our product team to plan, test and scale new experiences for our users, customers and stakeholders
• You lead & develop your team of experienced developers from various backgrounds
• You are part of the C-Level Management team and bring the tech view to the table, drive initiatives and make strategic decisions
• You ensure a KUGU-wide knowledge sharing of our technical components
• You are open to tackling the big and small challenges, that might get in the way when scaling a data product 

• You have +8 years of experience in a tech leadership role (ideally in fast-paced environments)
• You gained experience in building a SaaS solution and scaled a data business before
• You ideally have supported a cloud migration before
• You speak fluent German (C1) and English (C1)
• You have +10 years of hands-on development experience with a proven track record of delivering complex products and solutions 
• You have worked with the following tech-stack before:
  • Java
  • Kotlin
  • Kafka
  • AWS
