Arbeitsbeschreibung - Data Scientist (m/f/d)

As a Data Scientist at Arethia, you will drive AI innovation across internal processes. You will develop intelligent chatbot and LLM applications, enhancing operational efficiency, while also collaborating with R&D teams to explore AI-driven solutions for flavor generation. This role offers the opportunity to work across engineering, operations, and product development, applying your expertise in machine learning to real-world challenges. We are looking for someone who is proactive, curious, and eager to lead impactful AI projects to join our team.
  • Develop and maintain internal chatbot and LLM applications, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks and propose AI-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency in Supply Chain, Quality and Corporate Services.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to explore AI applications for innovative decision support sytems for flavour creation and design.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to explore AI applications for product selection and management
  • Drive commercial impact by improving selection and management processes, ensuring optimal resource allocation and enhanced decision-making.
  • Lead cross-functional projects, working closely with engineering, product, and service teams.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and implement best practices across projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in machine learning, NLP, or AI development, particularly with LLMs and chatbot frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and data analysis tools.
  • Experience in deploying AI solutions, preferably within an industrial environment covering departments such as production, procurement, R&D, commercial, and master data.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and scalable ML solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of data pipelines, ETL processes, and model optimization techniques.
  • Passion for exploring new AI trends and applying them to real-world challenges.
