As a Frontend Engineer at 8returns, you’ll be at the core of how merchants and their customers experience our product. You’ll build fast, beautiful, and reliable interfaces that turn returns data into action. If you care about craft, love to ship, and want real ownership, this is your role.

Tasks

• Rapidly prototype and ship new features in React / Next.js / TypeScript

• Build AI-powered interfaces that help merchants understand and reduce returns

• Own the frontend experience end-to-end, from ideation to metrics

• Talk to merchants, understand their pain, and translate it into great UX

• Work closely with founders to shape product direction

Requirements

• 2+ years building production apps in React / Next.js / TypeScript

• Strong frontend fundamentals (performance, accessibility, design systems)

• Experience integrating APIs and AI/LLMs into real products

• Strong product sense and opinions on what makes great UX

• You ship first, perfect later

• Autonomous. We give you problems, not solutions

• You’ve worked in an early-stage startup or as a founder

• You can handle backend basics (Rails, PostgreSQL) when needed

• You’ve built data-heavy interfaces that don’t suck

• You understand the AI/ML landscape beyond just API calls
