Head of Global Procurement (m/f/d)

As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced Head of Global Procurement to lead and execute our global procurement strategy for ingredients, and packaging and indirect materials within the flavour industry. As a key strategic leader, the ideal candidate will bring deep industry expertise, a strong global supplier network, and a proven ability to drive procurement excellence in a fast-paced, multinational environment. In this position, you will play a critical part in ensuring cost efficiency, supplier relationship management, and sustainable sourcing practices while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.Strategic Procurement Leadership:

• Develop and execute our global purchasing strategy aligned with our company goals.
• Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
• Inspire and manage the procurement team across multiple regions, encouraging collaboration and professional growth.

Supplier & Quality Management

• Build on and expand your supplier network within the global food ingredients industry, fostering valuable relationships that drive collaboration and business growth.
• Qualify and source ingredients based on strict quality standards and ensure all procurement activities adhere to compliance regulations and company policies.

Data-Driven Sourcing & Optimization

• Leverage procurement analytics to monitor market trends, forecast demands, and guarantee optimal supply of an innovative and comprehensive ingredient portfolio.
• Drive cost-efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of quality and delivery performance.
• Anticipate and address potential supply chain disruptions proactively.

• 10+ years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, within the flavour, fragrance, or food ingredients industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience in designing and managing procurement strategies and operations for a global organization.
• Deep understanding of raw material sourcing for the flavour industry, including botanicals, essential oils, and specialty chemicals.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and relationship-building abilities.
• Expertise in supplier compliance, quality assurance, and risk management.
• Willingness to travel globally (e.g. supplier acquisition, visits, audits).
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

• MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
• Advanced knowledge of sourcing innovation and emerging trends in procurement.
