As Head of Media Operations (f/m/d) at Invia Media Group, you’ll play a critical role at the intersection of technology, campaign execution, and product innovation. You’ll ensure that our digital advertising campaigns run smoothly, efficiently, and with measurable success – across all Invia brands.
In close collaboration with Sales, Product, and BI, you’ll develop scalable processes, automate workflows, launch new ad products, and make sure every advertising euro our clients invest delivers impact.

  • Campaign Execution & Optimization
    • Oversee end-to-end campaign delivery across Invia’s brands (ab-in-den-urlaub.de, invia.com, travelplanet.pl), ensuring 90%+ pacing accuracy and client KPIs.
    • Partner with BI to build real-time dashboards tracking campaign performance (e.g., CTR, conversion lift, audience engagement).
    • Implement ML/AI tools to automate bidding, audience targeting, and budget allocation.
  • Media Product Development
    • Design and launch proprietary advertising products (e.g., dynamic travel intent audiences, co-branded packages) that differentiate IMG in the travel media market.
    • Collaborate with Product teams to integrate retail media tech (e.g., shoppable ads, closed-loop attribution) into Invia’s ad stack.
  • Operational Scalability
    • Build a team of campaign managers and ad tech specialists, establishing workflows that balance speed.
    • Streamline handoffs between Sales, Client Success, and Ad Ops to eliminate revenue leakage.
  • Technical Leadership
    • Own relationships with ad tech vendors (DSPs, SSPs, SaaS) and ensure seamless integration with Invia’s first-party data.
    • Drive adoption of tools for media planning, campaign reporting and forecasting.
  • Client Enablement
    • Standardize post-campaign insights (e.g., “Your ads drove 15% incremental bookings in Spain”) to empower renewals and upsells.
    • Train Sales teams on product capabilities and technical differentiators (e.g., “Why our AI-driven audience segments outperform competitors”).
  • Technical Expertise in Advertising
    • 7+ years in digital media operations, ad tech, or campaign management, with 3+ years leading teams in in-house, retail media, or ad agency.
    • Deep fluency in programmatic advertising, attribution models, and retail media networks (e.g., Amazon Ads, Criteo).
    • Certifications in Google Ad Manager, DV360, or Meta Blueprint are a strong plus.
    • Comfortable explaining topics like, second price bidding, day parting, quality score definition, waterfall inventory logic, etc.
  • Data-Driven Operator
    • Track record of using BI tools (Looker, Tableau) to optimize campaign pacing, reduce waste, and prove ROI.
    • Experience with ML/AI applications in media (e.g., predictive budgeting, dynamic creative optimization).
  • Product Innovator
    • Proven ability to translate client needs into scalable ad products (e.g., geo-targeted packages for tourism boards, co-branded hotel campaigns, etc.).
  • Cultural Fit
    • Obsessive organization: You thrive on building systems that turn chaos into repeatable processes.
    • Technical translator: You bridge the gap between engineers and sales teams, turning complex data into actionable insights.
  • Language Skills
    • Required: Fluent English and German (written and spoken).
