As the Head of Satellite Platform, you will drive the development, evolution, and maintenance of the digital Satellite Platform—the core engineering backbone for every Reflex Aerospace mission. 
You will lead and mentor a team of engineers to create a modular, adaptable foundation that enables rapid satellite development, mission customization, and scalable expansion. Your work will be pivotal in accelerating innovation, increasing reliability, and positioning Reflex Aerospace at the forefront of satellite technology.

  • Lead and mentor the Satellite Platform team, fostering a culture of innovation and
    technical excellence.
  • Define and maintain a core engineering baseline, including reference architectures, modular subsystems, and digital twin capabilities.
  • Establish a standardized satellite platform that seamlessly adapts to diverse mission profiles and payloads.
  • Develop methodologies to translate customer requirements into efficient technical solutions for mission customization.
  • Provide frameworks and tools for structured trade-offs, decision-making, and early-stage mission design.
  • Implement system design, modeling, simulation, and validation workflows to ensure reliability and consistency.
  • Automate critical simulation workflows and integrate engineering processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Evolve the platform by integrating flight heritage insights, emerging technologies, 
    and Mission Team feedback.
  • 8+ years of experience in satellite system design, spacecraft engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in building and leading technical teams, including mentorship and talent development.
  • Expertise in satellite architecture, digital engineering, and modular spacecraft design.
  • Strong understanding of system-level requirements, trade studies, and verification methodologies.
  • Experience with digital twin technologies, model-based systems engineering (MBSE), and automation in satellite development is a big plus.
  • Strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in a new space environment is a plus.
