Our client is an established, profitable biotechnology company with a clear ownership structure and deep
expertise in protein engineering, bioprocessing, and downstream processing. With its know-how in affinity
chromatography, the company ranks among the technology leaders in its segment – collaborative in its
partnerships, and controlled and sustainable in its growth.
In this newly created commercial role, you combine scientific understanding with entrepreneurial thinking:
you help build a new portfolio area, actively shape structures, and position yourself at the interface with
biotech, pharma, and CDMO customers across the EU and the US.
Your Responsibilities
• Build new and develop existing customer relationships in the Affinity Resins area – from first contact to lasting business partnerships.
• Identify new business opportunities and drive them from initial evaluation through to first orders and repeat business.
• Support product evaluations and adoption together with technical and application teams, helping customers get the right solutions in place quickly.
• Own the commercial process end to end – qualification, proposal, negotiation, and closing – with clear targets and real ownership.
• Monitor the market and competitive landscape in bioprocessing and affinity chromatography to positionofferings strategically.
• Feed customer feedback and market insights back into the business to help shape future planning and commercial strategy.
Your Profile
• Degree in a scientific or business discipline, e.g. biotechnology, biology, or chemistry.
• Several years of experience in account management, sales, product management, or marketing within the life sciences – alternative backgrounds such as consulting or auditing are also welcome.
• Understanding of bioprocessing or affinity chromatography, and an interest in translating scientific topics into commercial outcomes.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, along with a structured, self-driven way of working.
• Fluent German and English, plus willingness to travel within your assigned territory.
