Arbeitsbeschreibung - IoT Senior Engineer (m/f/d)

  • Work with Midea product manager(s) to identify unmet consumer needs
  • Translate consumer needs into product/technology opportunities
  • Create smart/IoT product specifications
  • Work in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to ensure the IoT/smart home features and/or services conform to specifications and meet the performance needs of multiple product categories
  • Evaluate new products for market appropriateness and functional performance over a wide range of phones/routers
  • Monitor and participate in appropriate IoT/Smart regulatory and standard-setting bodies
  • Coordinate with HQ and product divisions to implement new smart innovations into the product plan
  • Consult on feature development as products transition to market.  Evaluate for specification conformity
  • Support other team members in technical specialty as needed
  • 5 years or more experience in IoT/Smart Home research and product development
  • Master’s degree in Computer/Software/Electronics Engineering or related field
  • Experience implementing IoT features in a consumer product environment (e.g. iOS and/or Android app development)
  • Experience implementing IoT technologies like WiFi, Bluetooth, and various sensor technologies.
  • Basic experience in security, Cloud Computing
  • Knowledge of C/C++ and Pyhton is a Plus
  • Knowledge of Embedded systems is a plus
  • Knowledge of Cloud Computing and AI methodologies is a plus
  • Good business instincts - identifies opportunities from trends
  • Creative thinker, strong smart innovation skills
  • Experience with open innovation and collaboration in an engineering environment
  • Solid understanding of consumer product development process and manufacturing
  • Experience working with remote product cross-culture development teams 
  • German language skills on a high level (best native speaker), English language skills on high level for daily communication
