Arbeitsbeschreibung - IT Security Engineer (m/f/d)

Develop, implement, and monitor IT security concepts, policies, and procedures at technical level
Perform risk assessments and vulnerability analyses
Implement and manage security solutions such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM systems, and endpoint protection platforms.
Steering of our external IT security service provider.
Monitor and analyze security-related events (Security Incident Handling).
Supporting internal IT teams at the patch management
Support audits, penetration tests, and compliance initiatives (e.g., ISO 27001, BSI Standards, GDPR).
Collaborate closely with internal IT teams and external partners to enhance overall security infrastructure.
International Team Collaboration: Collaborate with an international IT team, contributing to cross-border projects and ensuring cohesive network management and support across global operations.

Education: Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field.
Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of network security, cryptography, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Hands-on experience with key security technologies and tools (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, Google Chronicles).
- Familiarity with common standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls).
- Ideally, relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.
Skills:
- Your communication and technical documentation skills are excellent.
- You are proficient in German and English, both spoken and written.
- Technical documentation skills
- Ability to travel internationally (10%)
